The European Union could “respond swiftly and decisively” against what it calls “unjustified” visa bans imposed by the US against five Europeans working on combating digital hatred and disinformation, a European Commission spokesperson has said.

EU Officials Condemn US Move as ‘Intimidation’

European leaders such as the French president charged Washington of “coercion and intimidation”, following the travel bans targeted individuals who have been central to efforts to enact legislation governing American tech companies.
